Formed in 1953 in Los Angeles, The Platters group sold over 53 million records and has been in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1990. Besides The Great Pretender, the group stood out for other songs, including Only You, My Prayer, You've Got The Magic Touch, You'll Never Know, among others. The song "The Great Pretender" was composed in 1955 by Buck Ram and interpreted first by the group The Platters in the album "Encore of Golden Hits". In 1955 the song stayed two weeks in first place of the charts of Billboard. The song became popular again when Freddie Mercury, vocalist of the band Queen, rerecorded the song. The version of Mercury reached the fourth place in the UK Singles Chart.

Performed by a black band, the contribution of the song "The Great Pretender" was that national success is very remarkable in American history. Through the music, the African-Americans were able to show its value in a period where prejudice was accepted by law.

Despite having been composed in 1955, The Great Pretenders song tells a story that happens frequently nowadays. The music shows the portrait of a needy person, the great pretender, who always seems to be fine, but inside and marked by great sorrows. In an individualistic, closed society is more and more common to see happy people full of friends and lovers in social networks and in the background are just great pretenders.

The screen has a big size, like the movie theater, and even turned off pleases by the beautiful and innovative design. His presence in a living room, for example, would also serve to decorate the living room; the TV can also be fixed to the wall. Is very important that new technologies are discovered and tested. On November 5, 2014, Cruzeiro and Atletico Mineiro have staged incredible games in the semi-finals of the Brazil Cup. Atletico who lost the first game 2-0 in Rio de Janeiro, made his second game against Flamengo and needed a victory by three goals difference at Mineirao Stadium. On the other side, Cruzeiro beat Santos by 1-0 and could lose by one goal that still would qualify. Both games were very nervous, early in the game Cruzeiro conceded a goal to Santos, however tied soon after. Santos managed to make 3-1 with 25 minutes of the second half, but Cruzeiro has tied with William and qualified for the final of the championship. The Atletico's game was more dramatic, with 34 minutes of the first half Flamengo scored the first goal of the match and the Atletico managed to make another four goals it needed to qualify. End of games, Cruzeiro and Atletico will make a historic final in November 12 and November 26. This final is a gift for the soccer of the state of Minas Gerais, which in past years has been highlighted in national and international scenario with much less money that teams of  Rio-Paulo axis. Everyone expects that the final games represent very well and value the moment of Minas Gerais soccer teams.

Terrible Halloween

  Halloween is one of the most traditional festivals in the United States  where people dress up and go to the streets to enjoy a good time. The costumed children go to the houses of the neighborhood asking for candy and sweets, some people go to parties to have fun with friends, but not everything always ends well. On Friday night October 31st, three girls were ran over and killed by a speeding car in a residential area in Southern California. This accident was one that happened in this Halloween. According to the article by Faith Karimi and Todd Leopold, CNN, the Halloween is one of the most dangerous nights, due to the large number of people in the streets and a lot of drunk drivers. Sometimes people act irresponsibly and do not measure the consequences of his acts, causing serious damage to the community. Usually people ask for more oversight of the police, but what should change are the attitudes of some people. It is easy to prevent accidents like that happen involving drunk drivers, only depend on the driver. If you consume alcohol, take the route of public transport, taxi or by foot. Many problems like accidents, deaths, financial losses, or problems with the police are prevented just by changing a few simple steps.The main advice here is for people to be more responsible and conscious of any disaster that may happen on this eventful holiday.
